The Original Southern California Punk/Surf Power Trio, Agent Orange, is one of only a handful of bands who have been continually active since the earliest days of the West Coast Punk Scene. A small circle of musical rebels who came together to form a movement, they took their place front and center to experience and participate in the explosion of now legendary underground music that was created during the golden era of American Punk Rock. Being the first to combine the melodic California surf guitar sound with the frantic energy of punk, Agent Orange invented the formula that would come to define the Orange County punk sound. Highly influential to many of the bands who have followed in their path, Agent Orange have always stayed one step ahead. Their strong connection to the Action Sports world has resulted in their music providing the soundtrack to numerous major motion pictures, video games, surf and skate films, television, and live sports events. The last of the true independents, Agent Orange have managed to stay true to their roots, while always moving forward. Powered by a loyal following built up through years of explosive live performances all over the world, Agent Orange continue to deliver their fullblown-supercharged-punk-surf sound on an international basis, with a never ending schedule of tours in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Australia, and Japan.
Guttermouth is a punk rock band formed in Huntington Beach, CA. Guttermouth has released nine full-length studio albums and two live albums and have toured extensively, including performances on the Vans Warped Tour. The band is infamous for their outrageous lyrics and behavior, which has sometimes resulted in high-profile problems for the band, such as being banned from performing in Canada for eighteen months and leaving the 2004 Warped Tour amidst controversy over their political views and attitudes towards other performers. In a time where bands take "breaks" in order to have reunion tours along with all types of marketing gimmicks, Guttermouth continues to tour much of the year with no plans on stopping and has proven to be one of the hardest working punk bands still together. For 2014, the band is currently working on a full-length studio release, and has recorded several shows to put out a live vinyl release in the near future as well.
The Queers are pop-punk legends who’ve been channeling the best parts of the Ramones and Beach Boys since 1982. Singer/guitarist/songwriter Joe Queer has been the principal member of the group, with a vast number of musicians cycling in and out of the band over the years. Much like the Ramones, common lyrical themes are girls, drugs, alcohol and having fun. Musically the band deviates slightly from the driving rhythm guitar sound of the Ramones and augments their songs with harmony vocals, handclaps, keyboards and guitar solos. Ben Weasel of Screeching Weasel frequently collaborates with Joe Queer to write their songs. The band are well known for the variety of cover versions they include on their records and in live appearances. Bands/artists covered by The Queers include The Beach Boys, The Ramones (including a complete re-recording of the Rocket to Russia album), The Mr. T Experience, Skeeter Davis, The Fantastic Baggys, The Who, The Undertones, The Hobos, Tommy James and The Shondells, Helen Love and many more.
The Atom Age find their inspiration from the dust covered collections of unhinged 60’s Punk and R&B, whose crazed energy was once misconceived as a better fit for your trashcan than for your turntable. While taking many of their cues from these primitive pilgrims of punk, The Atom Age still strive to lay down their own modernized sound. Coming together in 2009 in Oakland, CA The Atom Age immediately hit the road. Touring heavily enabled the band to develop their powerful live show and unique style. After making some noise in the Bay Area’s scene Asian Man Records offered to release the band's second full length in 2012. During a break from touring early in 2014, the members felt it was time to radically refine and hone their sound in preparation for their third full length. A year of writing and recording commenced with the inclusion of a sixth member on 60’s Combo Organ. The new full length Hot Shame blends the rock ‘n’ roll swagger of Link Wray with the angular punk of Fugazi and Hot Snakes. A haunting tenor saxophone and transistor organ combo provide an added layer of tone ranging from The Stooges' Funhouse at their darkest, to The Famous Flames at their most energetic. Co-Producer Blag Dahlia from legendary garage punkers The Dwarves lent his greasy ears and formidable rock ‘n’ roll knowledge to the band while they tracked the record themselves at their studio; District Recording.
