AMC Series "The Walking Dead" Makes A Return To Jekyll Island Next Week

The popular AMC Television series "The Walking Dead" has been given the green light by The Georgia Department Of Natural Resources to film at various locations on Jekyll Island, Georgia. According to information listed in the letter of permission, TWD will film beginning next week in areas of Driftwood Beach, St. Andrews Beach, and the Jekyll Island Boat Ramp. There is expected to be around sixty five cast members present at the shoot, and over 100 crew members who will be staying on Jekyll for the duration of filming. The expected filming dates are June 18th - 27th depending on weather. Please be advised, the filming may cause some traffic delays and restricted access to filming locations during shoot times.
