Watch KISS Perform In Teaser For Upcoming Casablanca Records Biopic

An upcoming biopic about '70s music executive and Casablanca Records cofounder Neil Bogart will depict KISS on the silver screen before Kiss's own band biopic arrives.

Spinning Gold will be screened this week for potential buyers at the Cannes Film Festival.

A clip released in advance of the screening, depicts Bogart (played by Jeremy Jordan) watching one of his earliest signings, Kiss, performing "Rock and Roll All Nite" before a packed arena.

But despite the formidable fan reaction to Kiss's live show, Bogart was mired in debt and on the verge of losing everything. Check out the clip via the player above!

Spinning Gold is a passion project for Neil's son, Tim Bogart, who also directed the film. Tim tells Variety that it took him almost 20 years to finally get the movie made.

Since the movie's first option in 1999, Tim says he went through "obstacles nearly as challenging" as what his father experienced launching Casablanca.

The film was first announced in 2011, but delays and casting changes delayed it another eight years. The final product is reported to feature an impressive cast including Jordan as Bogart; Jay Pharoah as Casablanca co-founder Cecil Holmes; Michal Ian Black as Kiss manager Bill Aucoin; Wiz Khalifa as George Clinton; and Jason Derulo as Ron Isley.

In addition to discovering Kiss, Casablanca Records was lauded for signing the likes of Donna Summer, Cher and Parliament.

Kiss's Shout It Out Loud band biopic is expected by early-2023. The film will get a theatrical release and then land on Netflix. Longtime Kiss manager Doc McGhee said last year that the band hopes to release the film before its 'End of the Road' farewell tour concludes.
