Man Arrested for Rape in Brunswick, Has Previous Arrest at Well

A sexual assault over the weekend in Brunswick has resulted in the arrest of a man who, according to sources was arrested earlier in the month for criminal trespass and obstruction with violence at The Well earlier this month. He was released on bond in that incident on March 19th. The same sources also confirmed the victim in Saturday’s sexual assault was a minor.

The following was released by Brunswick PD:

 

On March 26, 2023, officers responded to Southeast Georgia Health System emergency room, in reference to a report of a sexual assault. 

 

During the investigation it was learned that a home invasion had taken place at a residence on the 1700    block of Albany Street. During the home invasion the victim was sexually assault by the suspect. 

 

A black male Troy Rogers III, 51 years of age was taken into custody. Troy Rogers III was charged with rape and home invasion. He was processed and turned over to the Glynn County Detention Center.
