Announcing Golden Isles’ First-Ever Bark & Brew Event

A Benefit to Support Glynn County Animal Control

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, June 19, 2018 – Two St. Simons Island businesses will host the Golden Isles’ first-ever Bark and Brew, a fundraiser to benefit Glynn County Animal Control. The event, to beheld Saturday, June 30 at the Longview Plaza on St. Simons Island, is a collaborative effort betweenof the owners of The Pack Canine Studio and Weber’s Growler Factory.

The event will run 11am to 3pm and feature music by Chrispy & Coco, craft beer samples from local Georgia area breweries, food from Tasteful Temptations, raffle prizes, K9 bath specials,and the Animal Control Mobile Adoption Van. 

Dogs are invited and encouraged to attend the event as well. iHeartRadio will broadcast live from the event. “When my team and I began seeing the vision for this event, we knew we wanted to get others involved,” says Jennifer Lee, owner of Pack Canine Studio. “As a community, the Golden Isles is extremely dog-friendly, and we are excited to support Glynn County Animal Control’s admirable endeavors."

When asked about Animal Control, Tiffani Hill, Division Manager, explained, “Animal Control provides many services to the community that are often forgotten or misunderstood. We do respond to calls to enforce County ordinances, but we also help residents find their lost pets, identify foster homes for pets in need, and place adoptable animals in forever families.

Fifteen dogs looking for forever families will attend “Bark and Brew” in the Mobile Adoption Van. All pets adoptable through Animal Control are spayed or neutered in advance of theadoption. The adoption fee is $25 and includes microchip implantation and registration, the spay or neuter procedure and Rabies vaccination. Pack Canine will also give all adopted dogs a five-day play package, bath and nail treatment and 10% off any retail merchandise and food.

"Tiffani and her team work hard to protect the health and safety of Glynn County residents while protecting the animals in our community and ensuring their humane treatment. It is truly an honor to host this event to benefit her organization,” remarked Emily Weber, GrowlerFactory owner.

Bark and Brew tickets are $25 at the door and include two drink tickets and two food tickets,music, raffle prizes, games and more. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Glynn CountyAnimal Control.
