Musician and actor Peter Tork, who became a 1960's teen sensation as a member of The Monkees, the made-for-TV pop group modeled on The Beatles, died Feb. 21.
The Monkees television show ran for two seasons, won an Emmy Award, and as a recording unit sold over 35 million albums.
Tork was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma in 2009. His sister, Anne Thorkelson, confirmed his passing.
He was 77.
