Further Information In SSI Murder Case Revealed

 As we previously reported, at 5:46 p.m. on March 6th officers responded to 284 Redfern Village on St. Simons Island in reference to a 911 call about a death investigation at the St. Simons Island Clinic. When officers arrived, they entered the Clinic and found two deceased persons inside. The deceased were identified as Dr. William Nelson, age 63, and Catherine Tortorete, age 51, both of St. Simons Island. Both died from gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation revealed the case to be a murder-suicide. Subsequent investigation substantiates that Dr. William Nelson murdered Catherine Tortorete and then committed suicide.
