According to a report from ghe Glynn County Police department, on April 15th at 4:27 p.m. Glynn County Police officers responded to a 911 call at Sonny’s BBQ located at 5328 New Jesup Highway in reference to an attempted kidnapping. When officers arrived, they spoke with an 11 year old female victim who reported the following. She went into the ladies bathroom inside Sonny’s BBQ and a white male entered the bathroom. The male grabbed her around the mouth and throat and attempted to subdue her. The female victim screamed and fought off the male and ran out of the bathroom.
John Schuler, age 40, from Waycross was arrested inside Sonny’s. He has been charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment and enticing a child for indecent purposes. The case is being investigated by Inv. Clay Palmer, 912-279-2919.
