Just a few tips to help relieve those blasted mosquito bites we will all encounter while enjoying the outdoors...
- Use an ice cube or ice pack on the bite.
- Rub the inside of a banana peel directly on the bite.
- Make a paste of salt and water and rub directly on skin.
- Make a paste of baking soda and water to rub on bite.
- Apply lemon juice, or rub lemon slice right on the area.
- Crush some aspirin tablets and mix with water to make a paste.
- Soak bitten area in an Epsom salt bath, or soak a cotton ball in water and Epsom salt and apply.
- Apply toothpaste to the area.
- Apply a wet used tea bag to the bite.
- Apply a roll on deodorant to the bite (weird, but it works!)
- Rub coconut oil on the area.
- Apply rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball and rub on the bite.
- Apply a small amount of vinegar directly to the bite, or if have many bites, you can take a very hot bath and add 2 1/2 cups of vinegar.
- Aloe rub the bite are with aloe
- Rub a bar of dry soap directly on the bite for temporary relief
- Onions will take the sting out of the bite, just place a slice over it
- Apply a small amount of honey and apply directly to the bite. Honey also has anti-microbial properties that can help prevent infection.
- Essential oils like tea tree, rosemary, neem, lavender, witch hazel and cedar oil. Take a small amount and dilute it with water, then apply directly to the bite.
