Former police chief of the McIntosh County School district, Doan Lodise, is suing the Board of Education claiming wrongful termination. Lodise's attorney states the termination is the result of her client's involvement in looking into an alleged hazing scandal at McIntosh County Academy in 2016.
In June of this year, the McIntosh County Board of Education voted unanimously to renew Lodise's employment, however voted in August to terminate the agreement. Lodise allegedly tried to resign to avoid termination, In hopes of avoiding termination, Lodise tried to resign. Mitchell says the board ignored his resignation.
