It was announced this week by Georgia Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens that Dana Larson Bowen, an insurance agent in Pierce County, has been arrested for allegedly committing insurance fraud.
52 year old Bowen, who turned herself in to authorities, currently faces twenty-eight counts of insurance fraud for allegedly misappropriating her customer’s insurance premium payments for personal use. As we reported last year both the Blackshear Police Department and the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office along with the Fraud Division of the Georgia Insurance Commissioner’s Department conducted searches of Bowen's home and office last June. Larson, of Management South Insurance Agency in Blackshear, Georgia, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana at that time.
