Reminder For Parents Of Children Obtaining Permits/Licenses This Summer

As the school year comes to an end, it is important for parents of children that will be obtaining learners permits or drivers licenses this summer to remember that the State Of Georgia requires a Certificate Of Attendance from the school. The Certificate Of Attendance must be delivered to the DMV in a sealed envelope, and can be obtained at the school's main office. Please be sure to call your child's school to request the certificate, which is generally good for 30 days. Some school systems will charge a small fee.

In related news, as the mother of a student driver, I have learned that the generic headache meds usually work as well as the name brands. Good luck parents, and don't forget to buckle up.
