Local law enforcement in Glynn County will participate in an “active shooter” exercise that will include emergency responders on Friday morning, June 21, 2019. As part of the drill, blank ammunition will be fired, and sounding of sirens around Coastal Pines Technical College’s campus Friday, but it will be a drill only according to officials. The exercise will be conducted between 10:00 am and 12 pm in the college’s main building. Classes will not be in session on Friday, June 21st.
Glynn County Police Department, Glynn County Schools Police, Glynn County Fire/Emergency Management Services (EMS), Glynn -Brunswick 911 Center and the Coastal Pines Security Team will participate in the exercise and use radio communications.
