A prescribed fire will be conducted Tuesday, November 12, 2019, in McIntosh County. The 1,200 acre fire, which is being conducted by the Department of Natural Resources, may present smoke to residents of Glynn, Liberty, and McIntosh counties.
The prescribed burn is being conducted by trained practitioners to improve wildlife habitat. It is a safe way to apply a natural process and reduce the risk of wildfires. The burn should be complete by 6:00 p.m.
