Jimmy Fletcher Meders, a Georgia man who was convicted in the October 1987 shooting death of Don Anderson, is set for execution on January 16, 2020 at 7p.m. at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson, Georgia according to the Department Of Corrections.
The murder among other charges stemmed from the killing of Anderson, a Glynn County, Georgia convenience store clerk more than thirty years ago. If the execution proceeds, Meders will be the first Georgia prisoner execution in 2020.
