BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB Shaky Knees Atlanta

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club played at late night show at Atlanta's Terminal West in support of their Sunday appearance at Shaky Knees Music festival.  And it's a damn good thing.  Some of us had to split early Sunday. Gotta job and all.  By all accounts their festival appearance was smashing, with bassist Robert Levon Been jumping into the crowd to howl.

Terminal's iron and wood industrial aesthetic was the perfect backdrop to the dark garage psyche grooves of San Francisco's leather clad rockers.  Levon commented on the short festival sets, and at 12 songs with no encore, they played with intent to beat a 2am curfew.

Featuring 5 songs from their excellent new album Wrong Creatures, the roughly hour long set touched on all but one of their 8 full length albums to date Released in January, Wrong Creatures is shaping up to be on of my favorite albums of 2018.

Pete International Airport, Peter G. Holmström's project outside The Dandy Warhols opened with a short spacey set of Krautrock inspired grooves mostly from their October, 2017 release Safer With The Wolves...

Killer show.
