What a thrill to catch Peter Hook, legendary bassist for both Joy Division and New Order at The Plaza Live in Orlando. You'd be hard pressed to find two more influential post punk groups in any one performers history.

Hook's high end bass defines the sound of both influential units.  It is impossible to imagine either without his input.  As Bernard Sumner's current New Order line-up soldiers on without Hook, for the most part side-stepping the legacy of Ian Curtis and Joy Division, Hooky has reveled in it.

Having tackled Joy Division material on previous tours with The Light. this time the band offered up both "Substance" hits packages from New Order and Joy Division in near entirety. Fans hungry to experience these essentials of the "new wave" live, including myself were not disappointed.
